TRIO New Mexico 2024 Annual Conference

TRIO New Mexico invites you to join us for our 2024 Annual  Conference at UNM Main Campus Student Union Building, which will be held on April 17-19, 2024 with Pre-Conference Workshop on April 17, 2024.  

The TRIO New Mexico Annual Conference is designed to welcome new members, promote professional development and guide and support TRIO professionals who provide educational services to students at various TRIO programs throughout the State of New Mexico. The conference will provide numerous professional development opportunities to participants, opportunities to connect with your TRIO family, vendor access and exterior networking with the Council for Opportunity in Education (COE) and Southwest Association of Student Assistance Programs (SWASAP).

Registration Deadlines and cost: 

  • If you are receiving a service award, please Register by March 25, 2024.
  • Registration will close April 1, 2024
  • There is no Early Bird Rate
  • Pre-Conference Workshop Rate $50
  • TRIO NM Regular Member Rate is $175 
  • Non-Member Rate $195

  • No refunds will be issued after April 1, 2024

College Access Counseling: Helping students navigate holistic admissions and more selective college applications

This pre-conference session will introduce TRIO pre-college professionals to a set of exercises and resources to help students navigate the holistic admissions process used by more selective colleges and scholarships. This will include: an overview of financial aid awards (including understanding award letters and full-demonstrated need); mock Common App applications and case studies; college exploration and building a college list; Common App essays and activities lists; and, letters of recommendation and school/program profiles.
