Pre-Conference
College Access Counseling: Helping students navigate holistic admissions and more selective college applications
This pre-conference session will introduce pre-college professionals to a set of exercises and resources to help students navigate the holistic admissions process used by more selective colleges and scholarships. This will include: an overview of financial aid awards (including understanding award letters and full-demonstrated need); mock Common App applications and case studies; college exploration and building a college list; Common App essays and activities lists; and, letters of recommendation and school/program profiles.
