2017-2018 TRIO New Mexico Collegiate Scholarship Application

Six scholarships (5 - $250 and 1 -$500) will be awarded Fall 2017 Semester.

The TRIO New Mexico Collegiate Scholarship Application is for those TRIO students who are currently participating in a Student Support Services or McNair program and are enrolled at a post-secondary institution at least part-time (6 cr. hrs) for Fall 2017. Students must have completed at least 1 semester of college as a degree seeking student (dual credit or non-degree semesters are not applicable). The actual award of the scholarship will depend on verification of Fall 2017 post-secondary enrollment. Fall scholarships will be awarded by late Fall 2017.

Hello TRIO NM Staff,

On behalf of the TRIO NM Achiever Committee, I am inviting everyone to nominate your successful alumni for this year’s award by August 30, 2017. Please click here to access the nomination form. Both nominator and nominee will need to fill out a form.

OBJECTIVE
The purpose of the TRIO Achiever Award is to honor and celebrate those individuals who are TRIO alums and have made an impact on his or her community. The TRIO Achiever’s Committee will base their selection on educational achievement, leadership qualities, letter of recommendation, and a completed application with a strong demonstration of commitment to the community.

ELIGIBILITY
Applicants must:
--Have been a TRIO participant within Educational Talent Search, Upward Bound, Educational Opportunity Center, Student Support Services, or Ronald E. McNair Scholars Program
--Either be nominated by a TRIO staff member OR self-nomination
--Demonstrate how TRIO impacted their lives
--Demonstrate leadership qualities
--Be able to attend the TRIO Achiever’s Banquet in Baton Rouge, LA on November 5-7, 2017 (SWASAP will pay travel expenses)

Registration for New Mexico CRLA Conference

Hi Everyone,

We have an awesome group of presenters lined up for the conference this year. The topics for the presentations are creating a culture of success, mathematics, tutoring, gaming literacy, developmental writing, competency-based education and learning at Google Apps . This should be a great conference and the keynote speaker, Lucy MacDonald, Creator of "howtostudy.org", will be bringing us ideas for using technology in our classes.

I know you won't want to miss this conference! The date of the conference is July 21st from 8:30 - 4:00 at CNM Westside Campus. I look forward to seeing all of you in attendance. Let's support our colleagues who are presenting.

Don't forget to register for the conference the deadline is July 10th.

SWASAP Pre-Collegiate Scholarship Application Now Available - Due July 7, 2017

The Southwest Association of Student Assistance Programs (SWASAP) scholarship committee announces the 2017 SWASAP Pre-Collegiate Scholarship Competition for Upward Bound, Talent Search, and Upward Bound Math/Science.
Each project may submit only five (5) applications and shall establish its own criteria for determining which five applications are forwarded to the Scholarship Committee. Program Directors should submit the selected applications in One PDF format to the SWASAP scholarship chair no later than 5pm on July 7, 2017. You can download an application here. Please make sure to review the Application Guidelines before applying.

TRIO NM Pre Collegiate Scholarship Application Now Available-Due May 25, 2017

The TRIO NM Scholarship Committee is pleased to announce the 2017/2018 TRIO New Mexico Pre-Collegiate Scholarship is now available. Five scholarships will be given, you can download an application here.

The TRIO New Mexico Pre-Collegiate Scholarship is for those TRIO students who are currently participating in a Talent Search, Upward Bound, Upward Bound Math/Science, Veteran’s Upward Bound , or Educational Opportunity Program who will enroll at a post-secondary institution for Fall 2017. Please review the application for instructions.

The complete certification and release form, application, transcript, personal statement, proof of TRIO participation, and any supporting documents are to be submitted as a single PDF document and must reach the Scholarship Committee by 5:00 p.m. MDT on Thursday, May 25, 2017.
